Gear essentials for the Grampians

Sandstone ranges punish smooth soles and thin water plans. Prioritise grip, water, layers and sun protection over gadgets. Lookouts (Boroka, Balconies) can be windier than Halls Gap; rocky steps get slick after rain. Hard Pinnacle / Wonderland / GPT days need more water and honesty about fitness — soft lookout days still need a shell and sun kit.
